On November 21, 2008 the Morrison Hotel Gallery and Sony Music Entertainment's ICON Collectibles will present "THE GENIUS OF MILES DAVIS...The Columbia Years," a photographic exhibition celebrating one of the 20th century's most profoundly influential musicians at the gallery's Bowery location. The exhibit will feature rare and never before seen limited edition fine art prints of Davis taken by Sony staff photographer Don Hunstein, Herman Leonard, Jim Marshall and Lee Wiener between 1955 and 1985.

The Electric Period - Rock, Fusion, Funk (1968-1972)

Once Miles had made a commitment to move his music forward he began a journey that changed the jazz world forever. Starting in 1968, he began using electric keyboards exclusively and soon electric bass and electric guitar, percussion and bass clarinet began to come into the Miles' uncanny sense of musical color.
